Grants for organisations to help boost vaccination rates
A small grants scheme to help boost Covid vaccination rates in Sussex has been launched.
These aim to assist with neighbourhood-based activity across communities of interest or people particularly at risk of serious illness if they contract coronavirus.
The type of initiatives that may be eligible include developing community-based communications, hyper local buddying schemes to support people accessing vaccination, target work with groups to increase awareness of facts about the vaccine and dispel myths and making community-based videos.
Targeted communities and groups are any of the following: South Asian Communities, Black African communities, Chinese communities, people living in identified areas of deprivation, adults with learning disabilities, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, those with physical or sensory disabilities or those who are clinically vulnerable or who live with long term health issues.
Grants of up to £5,000 will be awarded.
The Sussex Health and
Care Partnership is only accepting applications from fully constituted voluntary and community sector organisations, but is encouraging smaller unconstituted groups to work in partnership with larger groups recognising the value that smaller bodies can bring to this work.
