Busy bowlers all ready for action at Horsham Park

-

A small brilliant and dedicated team has worked throughout the winter to ensure the nation’s release from the dreaded lockdown has been followed by bowls resuming in Horsham Park.

The club is located behind the tennis courts and now that play is allowed, a full season of friendly and league matches against local clubs plus in-house competitions are planned. The club will also be holding its regular club nights on Monday evenings starting at 6.30pm,, when visitors are welcome to come, watch and get to know people.

Bowls is a game that everyone can enjoy whatever their age.

It is a skilful game where all members of a team play their part.

There is nothing better than enjoying an afternoon or evening in fresh air with good friends.

The club also runs a number of social events throughout the season.

Are you wondering what to do with yourself once we are all allowed to resume normal life? Would you like to learn how to play bowls?

Anyone interested in joining this friendly club in Horsham Park can contact the club secretary, Phil Claridge, on 01403 230962 or 07810 660262.

The club is holding its open day on Monday, May 31, when anyone who is interested in bowls will be made welcome.

Training and equipment for anyone interested in having a go will be provided, it is not difficult and a lot of fun whilst taking gentle exercise.
