Death on the rail line near town

British Transport Police were called at 9.39am on Saturday May 1 following reports of a casualty on the tracks near Horsham, a spokesman said. Southern Rail said a person had been hit by a train between Horsham and Arundel. Police added: “Sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
