A recycling company in Faygate has joined forces with Horsham District Council to sponsor a brand new youth employment support hub.

Piron Recycling – which is based at Holmbush Potteries, Unit 9 Burns Way – is sponsoring Y Wish, in Swan Walk shopping centre, as a way to give back to the community.

Michelle Solomon, from Piron Recycling, said: “Piron Recycling is a company which focuses on the recovery and recycling of telecoms and IT equipment. Our ethos is to improve the world in any way we can.

“We felt that by supporting the council’s new venture, we can help young people find a career that they can thrive in instead of just a job.

“As a business, we are passionate about investing in people. For us, giving back to the community is so important to us and Y Wish in Swan Walk in only the beginning!”

Y Wish aims to provide work and careers advice, benefits and financial advice, training skills and development and much more to 18 to 24-yearolds.

Piron felt it was important to invest in a platform that can encourage local young people to be confident and excel when entering the workforce.

Sales director at Piron Recycling Lewis Sage said: “I have worked with Leigh Chambers at Horsham District Council for a couple of years now and felt his youth hub concept was fantastic opportunity to get involved with.

“Investing in our town and focusing on young people’s careers which will help them develop skill sets they can use for their entire life is an amazing concept.”
