Lost in Mind; Found at Heart

-

Lost in Mind; Found at Heart is a new volume of poetry by Hove-based Melanie Haagman. It has been published by The Conrad Press at £9.99 and is available at Amazon, online at all bookstores and City Books Brighton. Melanie, 30, said: “These poems are written straight out of life. Brimming with raw human emotion, they chronicle the experience of being a woman in today’s world. “Lost in Mind; Found at Heart contains engaging poetry that tells stories peppered with wit but never denying the trials and tribulations of life. This collection guides the reader gracefully through a journey of reflection and self-growth and gifts readers with an understanding that despite hardship, stress, and the pressure of life, the heart will always lead the way. “I wrote this book naturally as a way of just reflecting on everyday life occurrences and feelings. Writing for me has always been a form of therapy and when I began sharing my poems, I was told it is also a form of therapy to read them. “The poems are relatable and will hopefully strike a chord with most! The main message of my book is that regardless of what life throws at us, if we stay true to our morals and are led by our heart, we will always find the way! “This is my second published book. My first book came out in July 2020 and was a collection of poems that captured the lockdowns chronologically and in rhyme. “The book is called Lexical Lockdown: Poems about Binge-Watching, Exercise Mishaps, Fridge Surfing and Other Pandemical Pursuits.”
