Chestnut Tree House

We’d love you to join Team Chestnut

- By Hugh Lowson chief executive

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions for 2019? I’ve seen a lot of people out and about wearing shiny new running gear in the last couple of weeks so can only assume many of you have made a commitment to get fit. Perhaps you’ve already signed up to take on a running challenge this year. If not, there are lots of opportunities to run for Chestnut Tree House over the next few months and we’d love you to join Team Chestnut. On Sunday February 24, thousands of runners will fill the streets of Brighton to take part in The Grand Brighton Half Marathon, and among them will be a fantastic team of people running for Chestnut Tree House. Entries close at the end of this month so there is still time for you to join them! I’m also excited that we are the charity partner for the youth race this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing lots of enthusiastic young runners taking part in the one-mile run from

Hove Lawns.

Then further in to the spring, the Brighton Marathon and BM10k take place on Sunday April 14. If you would like to take part in any of these running events to support Chestnut Tree House, please visit our website www.chestnut-treehouse.org.uk/run to find out more. Don’t forget, if you already have your own place in these events you can still join Team Chestnut, just email events@chestnuttree-house.org.uk.

Of course, if running’s not for you, why not volunteer to join our amazing cheer teams?
