Present debate is long overdue

The present debate about globalised digital media, fake news, and uncensored content, is long overdue.

It tends to prove that fashionable talk about freedom, and free trade, is a distortion of reality. Freedom is a question about whether we move towards moral and social apathy, or towards responsible altruism. What is worse is where the web and large commercial enterprises use free trade in order to monopolise and manage demand to their own purposes – the opposite of freedom. The economy is part of the society it serves. Eeach country must be responsible for getting itself in order, socially and environmentally. Not to mention reducing population.
