Sunday marked the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen’s accession.

It is a phenomenal length of service and we would like to place on record our congratulations to Her Majesty for her unstinting dedication to her duties.

We mark the occasion this week with our page 10 story, documenting some of the memories of Julia McCarthyFox – dubbed Britain’s most devoted royal watcher – has been photographing the Royal Family for decades.

Julia – who lives in Southwater, near Horsham – revealed some of her special memories, along with secrets of the Queen’s smile.
