Funds to support victims
Victims of domestic violence in West Sussex are set to receive more support thanks to extra government funding.
An additional £125million has been pledged to councils across England so they can ensure victims and their children who need it are able to access life-saving support in safe accommodation.
The government said a total of £330million had been awarded to date which has also been used by local authorities to fund healthcare, social workers, interpreters, immigration advice and other specialist services.
West Sussex County Council’s share is a total of £1.5million.
