Knife sales
Police have praised retailers across West Sussex for challenging children who attempt to purchase knives from their stores.
Officers have been coordinating test purchasing of knives with police cadets over the past two years as part of Operation Safety, which aims to provide education and enforcement of knife-related offences.
Stores tested in Crawley this month and in November all passed, including some that had failed previous tests. Sergeant Scott Walters said Sussex Police had seen similar trends in Mid Sussex, Horsham, Worthing, Bog nor Regis and Little hampton.
