St Paul’s job for vicar

A former West Sussex vicar has been appointed as Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

The Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, currently Dean of Durham Cathedral, was vicar of Goring between 2003 and 2008 .

He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge and Queen’s College, Oxford, and trained for ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He served his title at St Matthias, Torquay in the Diocese of Exeter and was ordained priest in 1990.

He took up his current role as Dean of Durham Cathedral in 2016. He is expected to take up his new post in London in September.
