Castle’s gardens in bloom

-

Madeleine Hilton sent in this photo of the magnificent tulips at Arundel Castle. The castle’s tulip festival started earlier than normal at the start of the month after a warmer-than-expected March led to the flowers blooming earlier than anticipated.

The display features more than 65,000 tulips which were planted by the castle’s garden team last autumn, and more than 1.3 million spring bulbs planted over the last eight years.

The castle and gardens are open from 10am until 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, as well as on bank holiday Mondays and Mondays in August. For more information visit www.arundelcastle.org
