Cow on the loose

A runaway cow caused chaos when it escaped from a nature reserve near Pulborough last week.

Alarmed drivers narrowly missed hitting the animal when it wandered onto main roads before ambling through village gardens –endangering one man’s prize roses. It managed to evade police who were called to the scene as it hot-hoov edit away from the officers,before making off towards Hardham. The cow was later found by a farmer and returned to Sussex Wildlife Trust’ s reserve in Waltham Brooks.
