‘Talented’ teacher dies suddenly
A DORSET school was closed yesterday after an “extremely talented” teacher died suddenly.
Gillingham School’s English and media teacher, Ian Murray, died on Wednesday night, according to a post on the school website.
Mr Murray had worked at the school for 11 years and had provided “exemplary service”.
A letter to parents told of the school’s “deep regret” and added: “I have been working alongside the Dorset County Council critical incident Team and we are treating this as an emergency incident.”
