Sweet new role for former CEO

A WEST gin distiller has appointed a man who knows a thing or two about tonic to its board.

The Cotswold Distillery has made Sir Dominic Cadbury, of the famous chocolate dynasty, a non-executive director.

As well as its chocolate empire the firm also owned Schweppes tonic, before it was snapped up by Kraft in 2010.

Sir Dominic, who lives near the distillery at Shipston-on-Stour, was CEO of CadburySchweppes for a decade between 1983-1993.
