Lack of deal will put communities at risk
I HAVE seen much of the ongoing debate over Theresa May’s proposal and the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg and others who would have chosen to leave Europe behind without a negotiated arrangement to protect vulnerable communities in this country.
That, in my view, is a serious flaw on their parts because a zero departure from Europe will put these communities at risk. And that’s what they’ve missed. Or absolutely worse, have ignored. I challenge Jacob Rees-Mogg on this because having missed the point he and his fellow Eurosceptics have put themselves on a collision course with those communities, including the disabled community. A negotiated agreement of departure from Europe is absolutely essential to have. The failure of not having it is unthinkable.
I support Mrs May’s proposals completely. It is the only way forward for all of us. Stephen Farthing Hengrove, Bristol
