Lampart returns

DAWID Lampart, who was a member of Swindon Robins’ 2012 title-winning squad, is back with the club.

Lampart returns to Britain after impressing Robins boss Alun Rossiter when racing for Polish outfit Lublin last season.

Lampart said: “This is a great present from Santa to be going back to England with Swindon.”

Rossiter admits Lampart is a surprise signing, but said: “We’ve kept in touch recently and I feel he is worth an opportunity.

“He’s had a superb season with Lublin and if he can bring that form over to the UK we will have a good signing on our hands.”

The Robins are also expected to confirm West rider Zach Wajtknecht as part of their plans for next year.
