Titans facing a West derby

-

TAUNTON Titans can complete the season’s double over West rivals Clifton when the sides meet in National Two South today.

Clifton lost 36-13 at Taunton on a Friday night in mid-September, but are expected to provide much tougher opposition on their own ground this afternoon.

Titans are lying fourth in the table and have to win if they are stay within touching distance of the leaders.

Taunton trail title favourites the Rams by 16 points and need to go through this month without any slip-ups.

Titans have handed the permanent captaincy to outsidehalf Lewis Webb, who has taken over from Nick Mason.

Webb has skippered the side on six occasions this season and has yet to finish on the losing side when in charge.

He captains a side which won all four of its matches in the month of December and put November’s poor form firmly behind them.

Elsewhere in National Two South, Old Reds play away to Canterbury, while Dings travel to Birmingham & Solihull.

In National League One, meanwhile, Cinderford are on the road at Sale FC, while Hartpury are without a game in the GKIPA Championship.
