No pressure on us – Yapp

-

TAUNTON Titans will be chasing their sixth successive win when they play at home to struggling Birmingham & Solihull in the National Two South today.

Titans’ fine run has enabled the Somerset side to move up to within two points of secondplaced Canterbury, who are at home to Taunton next Saturday.

Titans’ head coach Tony Yapp said: “We’re right back in the mix now and it keeps things exciting.

“I don’t see it as pressure, just as a great opportunity.

“We cannot take our eye off the ball this weekend as sometimes playing the weaker teams can be much tougher once you get to this time of the year, as they are scrapping for their lives. We had 45 training earlier this week which means competition for places has hotted up. It is proving to be difficult to pick a team.”

Ratu Vakalutukali, Gary Kingdom and Aron Struminski, who all missed last weekend’s win at Clifton, will be returning for this afternoon’s game.

The remaining three West sides are currently lying 11th to 13th in the league table.

Dings Crusaders host highflying Canterbury, Clifton go to Worthing, and Old Reds play at home to London Irish Wild Geese.

The league-leading Rams have a home fixture against sixthplaced Old Albanians.
