Labour criticised for a very good reason

- Stuart Eels, Chippenham

I SEE there is yet another outrageous attack on Chris Moncrieff by a Labour supporter, who supposedly had to rush off and take two blood pressure tablets such was his shock at Mr Moncrieff ’s thoughts on the Labour Party.

I wonder why it’s only Labour Party members and supporters who take offence at Mr Moncrieff; are they perhaps a little bit intolerant of anyone daring to criticise the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn?

They should sit down and think hard about why so many are criticising both.

For example, “MP Lucianna Berger’s decision to quit the party over anti-Semitism was Labour’s worst day of shame in it’s 120-year history, Ms Berger has been bullied out of her own party by racist thugs,” said Tom Watson Labour party deputy leader.

Jeremy Corbyn tried to stop the removal of the whip from Chris Williamson for his disgusting speech about anti-Semitism but in the end had to give in because at last Labour MPs found their backbones and are standing up and being counted.

John Mann, another Labour MP, says that Chris Williamson is an enabler of anti-Semitism in the Labour Party, Ian Austin has just quit the Labour party in disgust at Corbyn’s leadership, stating: “I am appalled at the offence and distress Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party caused to Jewish people.”

The hard truth is that the party is tougher on the people complaining about anti-Semitism than it is on anti-semites! The party itself admits that since April 2018 there have been 673 allegations of anti-Semitism within the Labour Party.

I have purposely quoted only senior Labour Party members’ views so that I can’t be attacked for mounting a campaign against Jeremy Corbyn by the usual apologists on these pages.
