Bulls need to increase their goal output

-

HEREFORD FC will need to up their game if they are to come away from their crucial National League North clash at relegation rivals FC United of Manchester with all three points.

The Bulls have struggled for goals all season and are still only ahead of basement club Nuneaton Borough in the goalsscored stakes.

Now they go into a pivotal clash without loanee George Lloyd, who has been recalled by parent club Cheltenham, and another loan striker James Waite, who is serving the second game of a three-match ban after being sent off at Leamington.

But they have recruited ex-Birmingham City and Bristol Rovers striker Cameron Ebbutt on noncontract terms after he impressed in training.

Bulls head coach Marc Richards has also signed goalkeeper Jahquil Hill after he received international clearance.

FC United are nine points behind the Bulls and have played one game more, sitting just one place off the bottom of the table.

Meanwhile, in the National League South, promotion-chasing Bath City will be hoping to add another three points to their total when lowly Truro City are the visitors to Twerton Park.

Elsewhere, Chippenham, who lie five points off a play-off spot, are at home to Oxford City.

After reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup and going one better in the FA Trophy, the Hoops’ form has dipped. The Bluebirds’ Yan Klukowski has recovered from his injury, while club captain Greg Tindle has joined Melksham on loan.

Gloucester City will look to maintain their unbeaten run against Wealdstone, while bottom side Weston-super-Mare are away to top-of-the-table Torquay.
