Hardenhuish centenary celebrations
CHIPPENHAM are celebrating 100 years at their Hardenhuish Park ground this afternoon when Dulwich Hamlet are the visitors in the National League South.
Former chairman Sandie Webb will be signing copies of her book A Town United, which details the history of the club since forming in 1873, making it the oldest club in the South West.
The Bluebirds will welcome former players back to the club, and a large crowd is expected, boosted by supporters from the London visitors, who can attract crowds of 2,000 at home games.
Goalkeeper Will Puddy will be available for selection, although manager Mark Collier still has the option of going with on-loan Swindon man Will Henry.
Defenders Will Richards and Rhys Tyler are unlikely to be fit enough to start, while Dean Evans has joined fellow midfielder Yan Klukowski in leaving the club.
Elsewhere in National League South, Bath City will look to build upon their morale-boosting 4-0 FA Cup victory over Supermarine when they visit high-flying Hemel Hempstead this afternoon.
Jerry Gill’s side have drawn their last two games in the league.
In the National North, Hereford will renew acquaintances with a former Edgar Street stalwart when Kettering visit today.
Luke Graham, a popular player and captain under Martin Foyle for the former Hereford United, will be making his bow as jointcaretaker boss after a managerial shake-up earlier in the week.
The Bulls should be favourites to take the points this afternoon, having taken successive victories against Gateshead in the league and Truro City in the FA Cup, while Kettering are struggling down in 20th place in the table.
Meanwhile, Gloucester City are at home to Guiseley.
