Deadline extension for charity funding

THE deadline for domestic abuse and sexual violences support charities to apply for a funding boost has been extended until Friday, June 5.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has launched the Covid-19 Extraordinary Ministry of Justice Funding for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Support Services after securing £25 million from the government.

Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens and her team have the opportunity to apply for a total of £578,000 of the funding.
