Vandals damage 15 headstones

POLICE are investigating damage to 15 headstones in Stroud cemetery.

Officers are liaising with Stroud Town Council over reported criminal damage at the cemetery on Bisley Road.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: “It was reported that approximately 15 headstones had been damaged by unknown offenders at some point this week.”

The force says it will be putting extra patrols in place in the area.
