IT consultants plan new office in city centre

TECH firm AND Digital has announced plans to open an office in Bristol, which it said would create around 100 new jobs.

The company, which provides IT services and consulting for businesses, is set to launch its new site in the city in June, with a location set to be announced.

The office will be the Londonbased group’s 16th across the UK. It opened its first international base in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, last year. It currently employs around 1,300 staff.

AND Digital said Bristol had a “thriving” tech hub and it wanted to support firms in the city to grow and narrow a skills gap in the area.

It comes as research conducted for the firm found almost three-quarters of business decision-makers in Bristol believe they lack the data skills needed to drive their business forward.

The report also found around 70% of Bristol bosses thought they required more technology in order to boost their organisation’s data capabilities.

Around a quarter cited challenges such as a lack of time, in-house skills and data specialists to implement new data technologies.

AND Digital counts a broad range of organisations as clients, including British Airways, Diageo and The Prince’s Trust.
