LESS PLASTIC? FANTASTIC

-

Lidl is taking huge steps to reduce the plastic in its packaging. By 2025 it aims to make 100 per cent of its own-brand packaging recyclable or reusable, and to increase the proportion of all its packaging that uses recycled content to at least 50 per cent.

The supermarket chain is also working closely with suppliers to minimise cheese, meat and poultry packaging, and to ensure it is as recyclable as possible.

And that’s not all: Lidl GB plans to remove 2 billion single-use plastic items from its stores by the end of 2022. That will mean less plastic waste ending up in the sea.
