We’re not all on our mobiles and iPads
MARGARET Tucker (August 18) identifies a genuine problem amongst many of the population. They are either not computer literate or do not own a computer anyway!
There is a current trend for “everyone” to have the latest app on their mobile phone (which they may not own anyway!) or be fully aware of “internet banking” as opposed to a bit of cash in their purse/wallet. The Government (in support of its Net Zero policies) seems hellbent on totally electric vehicles; the establishment of solar farms to cover the countryside, ignoring any consideration of quality of the area and in direct contravention of the needs of the nation to provide more of its own food. Are our current politicians so ignorant as to not realise that the obvious place for solar panels is on roofs, not covering fields?
I have real sympathy with that generation who are not the fiveyear-old child with fluid fingers and thumbs on their phone, keypad or whatever.
