Energy supplies are never purely green

-

IT is quite amusing as well as baffling to find that people can pay companies for energy supplies even though those companies do not produce any of it.

John Chater is one such customer who expects to have a lower bill due to buying renewable energy and feeling very green in doing so.

If it’s just conscience, that’s fine, but do not expect supplies to be purely green down the supply line of the National Grid to your home.

One cannot see the power, can they? It is not separated just to suit what you think you have purchased.

He quotes Octopus, who are investors and managers handling supplies involving nine countries from around the world, perhaps buying up others who have gone bust.

These companies are no more than dealers in a fool’s and horse’s marketplace.

Buy it cheap and sell it at double to those who seem unaware of what is being sold across the computer room of well-heated offices at the customer’s expense.

This time next year they “could be millionaires” – if they are not already.
