Raducanu into last four

-

EMMA Raducanu reached the Korea Open semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Poland’s Magda Linette in Seoul.

Raducanu sealed her third successive straight-sets triumph in the South Korean capital and has won three consecutive matches at a tournament for the first time since her stunning US Open title triumph in 2021.

Raducanu, who fell at the first hurdle in defence of her US Open title last month, has slipped to 77th in the world rankings from a career-high tenth.

But the British number two, who beat Moyuka Uchijima and Yanina Wickmayer earlier this week, has rediscovered some of her best form in Korea.

FORMULA ONE: Williams have announced Nicholas Latifi will leave the British constructor at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Canadian exits after three years with Williams.

He has failed to score a point this year, and was outclassed by debutant Nyck de Vries who stood in for Alex Albon at the recent Italian Grand Prix.

Dutchman De Vries, 27, is under consideration to replace Latifi, while the team’s American academy driver Logan Sargeant, 21, is another contender.

Williams had already confirmed Albon will be retained for 2023.
