Russian sympathiser parrots Putin’s lies

-

I WOULDN’T have thought that Okehampton would be a likely place to find a Russian sympathiser, but then anything is possible.

Your correspondent Karen Jacob is a serial offender here, popping up every so often parroting Putin’s lines. And lies.

The lady asks someone to explain why Russia would blow up its own pipeline? Understanding the former Soviet country’s mindset would be a good beginning. Rather than merely turn the tap off, they wish to demonstrate that they are no longer interested in sustaining that source.

They also wish to demonstrate that they can achieve this result on anyone’s pipeline if they wish. Blowing up the supply from a NATO country would be considered an act of war, so on balance we can work that one out, considering Russia is losing already.

Enquiring into why the Russians would send a missile into a humanitarian convoy is like asking why cats chase birds and feel no guilt when they kill them. It’s what they do and have always done, in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Syria and now Ukraine.

Civilians have no special status for Russia’s armed forces, in fact terrorising the population with indiscriminate looting and killing is all part of their normal working day.

Poking the finger of blame at certain small and insignificant right wing groups is all very well. Not every Ukrainian regularly attends Sunday school, but the mass graves being unearthed are visible from space via incredibly detailed satellite technology.

It is proven who did what, and when.

Russians don’t care for their own dead, let alone anyone else’s.

Accusing Biden of targeting tower blocks is risible, as is the “False

Flag” argument dragged out every time a conspiracy theorist runs out of theories. All our hearts break for the people of Ukraine. They will not be served by lies and distortions directed at the West to the benefit of the most arrogant and dangerous dictator since Stalin.

We must support Ukraine’s struggle by every means possible. Russians can go back home any time they wish. Ukrainians are already home and wish to remain there in peace.
