Two vintage tractors stolen
TWO vintage tractors of huge sentimental value were stolen from a barn in south Wiltshire this week.
The theft happened at Hamptworth near Landford overnight on October 11-12 and the owners are desperate for their safe return.
One of the tractors is a 1968 Fordson Dexta, registration 855UBJ. The other is a 1957 Furgeson 35 in grey and gold, registration 722YUG.
Pc Peter Jung, of Wiltshire Police, said: “The two tractors are immaculate and have been in the victim’s family all of her life so they have huge sentimental value.”
He added:“They are in excellent condition and are often taken to various shows where they bring joy to a lot of people.
“We would urge anyone who either saw or heard suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has seen the vehicles to please get in touch immediately so they can be returned to the owner.”
