Lights switch-on is off

CABOT Circus in Bristol will not be holding its Christmas lights switch-on this year.

The shopping centre has been unable to host the event in its usual capacity in previous years due to the pandemic. This means there is no major Christmas lights switch-on event in the centre of Bristol.

The Clifton Village event will be going ahead this year, with BBC Points West’s Alex Lovell.

A spokesperson for Cabot Circus said the switch-on wouldn’t be happening, “but we’ve got some really exciting Christmas activities taking place at the centre which we’ll be announcing in the coming weeks”.
