Two charged over antiques theft

TWO men have been charged in connection with a high-value antiques burglary in Gloucestershire.

The charges relate to a burglary at an antiques shop in the village of Mickleton, in the Cotswolds, on October 17.

Up to £100,000 of antiques were reported stolen.

Vinnie Smith, 41, and Steven Agg, 33, were arrested by Gloucestershire Police on Thursday.

They were both charged yesterday and have been remanded in custody.

Smith, of Cartwright Road, Churchdown, and Agg, of Moors Avenue, Cheltenham, have both been charged with one count of burglary.

They are set to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court today.
