Murder probe after body found
A MURDER investigation has been launched following the discovery of the body of a woman in a flat.
Police were called to the address in Chapel Street in Stroud in Gloucestershire on Friday, November 4.
The death was initially treated as being unexplained, but the results of a post-mortem examination has now led to a murder investigation.
Officers are in the early stages of an investigation and are working to establish what has taken place.
The body is believed to have been undiscovered for some time and detectives are still waiting for confirmation of the identity of the victim.
One man, from Stroud, was arrested on Thursday night on suspicion of murder.
Two further arrests, a man and woman, who are also from Stroud, were made yesterday. They all remain in police custody at this time.
Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Major Crime Investigation Team said it is keen to hear from anyone who has any relevant information.
