Teens assault boy, 16

A 16-year-old boy who was assaulted by two teenagers in Dorset was left with bruised ribs, among other injuries.

The incident took place around 5.50pm on Tuesday November 1, while the victim was walking through Pageant Gardens, Sherborne, with two friends. The victim sustained multiple injuries after being approached and assaulted by the pair, including a swollen eye and bruising to his ribs.

One of the offenders is described as around 16 years old, white, approximat­ely 5ft 7in tall and of slim to medium build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark-coloured puffa-style jacket with a fur-lined hood.

The other offender is described as also being around 16 years old, white, of medium build and 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey hooded top.

PC Matt Robinson, of Sherborne Police, said: “I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has any informatio­n that might assist our inquiries, to contact us.”
