PLANT OF THE WEEK
Hesperantha ‘Oregon Sunset’ Hesperantha must be one of the best late flowering perennials, coming into flower in early autumn and looking superb at the moment.
Formerly known as Schizostylis, it’s a clump-forming perennial with semi-evergreen leaves and produces open crocus-like flowers. The warm coral-red flowers of ‘Oregon Sunset’ evoke a crimson sun setting into the Pacific Ocean, giving your garden a blast of heat on a November grey afternoon.
Plant in moist, well drained soil in full sun for best results.
