Children’s roadside memorial vandalised for the third time

-

POLICE are appealing for information after a memorial in Wiltshire was damaged for the third time in seven months.

The memorial site, on the A36 near Steeple Langford, was created by a family to remember two children who died following a road crash.

It is at the side of the road where the family can leave flowers and memorial items.

Police said that on driving past the site on November 10, a family member discovered that the memorial has been vandalised for the third time since April.

Flowers have been ripped out and memorial items at the site have been thrown around, with some taken.

The site was previously targeted some time between July 11 and 23.

Pc Dean Wright said: “This is an incredibly personal site for the family and to have it repeatedly vandalised has caused a great deal of distress. The family is understandably devastated by this third incident as it now feels personal”
