Why are care home residents in lockdown?

IF, as several scientists and pundits claim, the Covid jabs are safe and effective, and have made a difference to rates of transmission and severity of disease, are older people being made prisoners in their care homes because someone has got a sniffle or a head cold?

Surely, the two, three or four jabs older people have been coerced into accepting should stimulate an immune response strong enough to offer protection? So why the need to isolate people again?

Isn’t it time the government guidelines eradicated the need for this?

Perhaps this needs investigating under ‘deprivation of liberty’ safeguards.

Life is miserable enough for care home residents without further limiting their freedoms. Or is it a case that lockdowns are not just for Christmas?
