Murder accused in court hearing

A MAN charged with murdering a Somerset teenager appeared in court yesterday.

Joshua Delbono, 18, formerly of Slipps Close, in Frome, appeared via video link from

HMP Bristol for a case management hearing.

He is accused of murdering Charley Bates, 16, from

Radstock.

Yesterday he spoke only to confirm his name.

Judge Picton confirmed that Delbono’s trial remained scheduled for the end of January 2023.

He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear in court on Monday, December 5, for another case management hearing.
