Being the local MP and serving in Government has been the privilege of my life and I am immensely grateful for the opportunit­y to serve. I always sought to make decisions in the national interest, and in line with my values, and I can only hope my best was sufficient - Former Cabinet minister Sajid Javid, who became the most prominent Tory MP yet to announce he is stepping back at the next general election.

The Government is worn out, tired, has crashed the economy. And the verdict was very, very clearly given. I think that’s a clear message to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak that people are fed up - Sir Keir Starmer hails Labour’s byelection victory in the City of Chester.

First of all, the need for solidarity and support for Ukraine. And secondly, that there must be no way in which we force peace on Ukraine or they’re put under pressure. Third, that the need for support is going to be very long term - The Archbishop of Canterbury, when asked what he had learned from his visit to Ukraine.

As the end of my Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour comes into view, there is no more fitting way to say goodbye to my British fans. They have been beyond brilliant, and have supported me through all the highs and lows of my career - Sir Elton John after it was announced he would be headlining at Glastonbur­y 2023, marking what will be the final UK show of his last ever tour.

She certainly behaved in the way that Jill does - she’s fun, she’s supporting and she’s got that steely determinat­ion. I was almost a little bit surprised with some of the things she did, certainly some of the eating challenges and certainly some of the ones from a great height. But she loves that, she loves the excitement and the challenge - Gareth Taylor, the manager of Jill Scott’s former club Manchester City, praises her following her win on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
