Bears recall Fijian star Radradra
FIJI star Semi Radradra makes his long-awaited return from injury when Bristol Bears host Leicester Tigers at Ashton Gate tonight (8pm).
Radradra partners Piers O’Conor in the midfield, with Will Porter and Callum Sheedy at half-back.
Deago Bailey comes into the side on the wing in place of the injured Luke Morahan, joining Gabriel Ibitoye and Charles Piutau in the back three.
Ellis Genge returns from England duty in the front row, while there are two changes in the back row, with Sam Lewis and Jake Heenan replacing Fitz Harding and Magnus Bradbury.
■ Gloucester Rugby have named two sides as they played in both the league and cup this weekend.
In the Gallagher Premiership, the Cherry & Whites take on Northampton at Kingsholm this evening (5.30pm).
Jack Singleton comes in at hooker, with Santiago Socino dropping to the bench. Either side of him, Val RapavaRuskin and Fraser Balmain remain as the props. Freddie Clarke and Matias Alemanno are selected at lock.
The back row of Ruan Ackerman, Ben Morgan and captain Lewis Ludlow is also the same as it was last weekend.
Stephen Varney makes his first league start of the season at scrum-half and Santiago Carreras starts at fly-half once again. In the centres, Seb Atkinson makes his Premiership debut for the Cherry & Whites. He is partnered with Scotland international Chris Harris.
In the back three, Jonny May returns on the wing after being away with England. Louis Rees-Zammit and Lloyd Evans complete the team.
■ For tomorrow’s Premiership Rugby Cup tie against Exeter at Sandy Park, Alex Seville, Seb Blake and Kirill Gotovtsev are in the front row, with Andrew Davidson and Arthur Clark behind them. Freddie Thomas starts on the blindside, with Jack Clement on the openside. Jack Bartlett starts at eight.
Scrum-half Ben Meehan has been given the captaincy for the game. He is one of four players in the back line that have had Premiership minutes this season, along with ten George Barton, centre Jack Reeves and winger Jake Morris. Morgan Adderly-Jones partners Reeves, with Alex Morgan on the wing and Josh Hathaway at full-back.
