WHAT THEY SAY

-

I totally agree with Prince Harry that ruthless intrusion into the private lives of the Royal Family for financial gain is utterly reprehensible... and I hope he stops doing it - Former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan, who was criticised by Harry following the settlement of his legal claim, responds to the duke.

I think the British public appreciate us being straight and saying because of the damage the Tories have done, we can’t now do everything that we wanted to do. I would much rather be straight with the British public than make a promise I can’t keep - Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer defends his party’s controversial decision to ditch a key pledge to spend £28bn a year on green projects.

Keir Starmer and Labour deserve a crack at it. If there was anyone else we could vote for, maybe, but they should be given a shot. I live here (in the UK) now. I didn’t used to. And I see what the Conservatives get up to. Well, I liked Boris Johnson. He was a good figurehead, but he turned out to be a lying f ****** public schoolboy. He got found out and things haven’t been much better since - Sir Rod Stewart, who has previously said he was a supporter of the Conservatives, says Labour should be “given a shot” in government.

I’m prepared to say that he’s gone into the water and if he’s gone into the water then that’s the most probable outcome - Metropolitan Police Detective Superintendent Rick Sewart says death is the “most probable outcome” after the force said it is working on the hypothesis Clapham alkali attack suspect Abdul Ezedi has gone into the River Thames.
