Bristol pie company lands spot at a very upper crust shop

-

AN independent Bristol pie company has been selected to supply Harrods’ recently relaunched food hall.

Lovett Pies was picked from thousands of food producers to supply the luxury department store’s food hall, which will showcase British goods.

The range of ‘sharing pies’ for Harrods will include a venison, porcini mushroom and smoked bacon pie; and a Christmas pie with turkey, chestnut stuffing, smoked bacon and cranberry.

Co-owners Phil Roseblade and Chris Parry, who make all the pies in Bristol, have also designed a new steak, kidney and mushroom pie for Harrods.

The duo said they “couldn’t believe it” when they received a phone call “out of the blue” from the department store retailer.

Phil said: “[Harrods buyers had] ordered a pie from an online farmers market service and loved it.

“The selection process was unbelievable – so detailed and rigorous – and we really loved being part of the excitement around the new relaunch at Harrods.”

Lovett Pies is the only UK pie company to supply Harrods’ Christmas food hall, which relaunched for 2018.

The department store’s food halls are undergoing a significant transformation after 30 years, with the Fourth Floor Food Hall showcasing produce from around the UK.

Phil added: “We’re just so delighted to be part of such an amazing group of British producers who have been chosen from thousands.”
