Third brother set for United

-

EVESHAM United look set to sign striker Kane Simpson following his departure from their fellow Southern League outfit Frome.

The 22-year-old will become the third member of the Bristolbased Simpson family to join the Jubilee Stadium club, with Cory and Kye already part of boss Paul Collicutt’s squad.

Kane has scored eight goals in 22 games for the Premier Division South club this term, having joined them from Mangotsfield.

He is one of eight siblings, six of whom are boys, five of them playing football at a good nonleague level.

Troy, 30, is at Bristol Manor Farm, who beat Evesham 2-1 last Friday night, with Cory scoring Evesham’s goal.

Jamel, 29, plays for Hallen in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division, leaving Aaron, 37, who is the only brother who does not play.

Collicutt had been keen to sign Kane in the summer before he joined Frome, but he has not got his man.

Frome last week signed front man Jordan Rogers following his departure from Tiverton.
