A people’s vote took place the first time

IN the EU referendum the Remain supporting government lost to the Leave vote.

And despite Parliament’s previous 6:1 majority vote to back the referendum result, many MPs have disgracefully reneged on that vote and will cease at nothing to sabotage the majority will of the people.

Many Remain supporters support their actions, among them the

‘Bath for Europe’ group who held a recent meeting where Bath MP Wera Hobhouse was a speaker.

She concluded: “A people’s vote is the democratic route for the Government to get out of this crisis.”

Pardon me, but the EU referendum was a democratic people’s vote!

However for many politicians this was irrelevant. Why? Because they did not approve of the outcome.

Be warned: our democracy is precious and bigger than any politician, and at this moment in Britain’s history it is the sometimes corrupt world of politics that threatens our democratic survival.
