I THOUGHT Philip Bowern was very generous in his summing up of Dominic Cummings’ recent prelockdown travels.

A scare at home and Mr Cummings hot-foots it back up North, not having the common sense or, dare I say, courage to stay in London obeying his own crafted rules.

Just imagine if he had been a “special adviser” in 1940 – I think Mr Churchill would have given him his marching orders.
