Eight men and a boy bailed after man is stabbed in back in town
EIGHT men and a boy have been bailed following their arrest in connection with a potential stabbing in Cheltenham.
They were arrested late on Sunday after a man was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound to his back.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson: “Two 18-year-old men from Cheltenham were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, a 21-year-old man from Tyne and
Wear was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 25-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
“A 17-year-old boy from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, an 18-year-old man from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and a 23-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
“A 20-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug.
“A 22-year-old man from Evesham was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.”
All nine been bailed until May 25.
