THE people learning more about the secrets contained in their DNA tonight include couple Michaela and Richie.

They realised they could pass down a potentiall­y deadly genetic mutation when their first son was diagnosed with Bubble Boy Disease, a rare condition which means he has no immune system.

Now they’re testing their newborn son’s DNA to help find out if he needs to undergo life-saving gene therapy.

We also hear about Georgina who was conceived during a holiday romance 34 years ago when her mum Maura fell for a Portuguese waiter.

Maura raised her daughter herself, never returning to Portugal to tell him he had a child.

Ben wakes up after spending the night in The Arches and panics when he hears Dave banging on the door for his wages.

Later Kheerat, below, sees the state Ben is in and suggests he takes some time off. He shares his concerns with Kathy. Kathy confronts Ben, but as she continues to blame him for what happened with Callum, things become too much for Ben and she has a sudden realisatio­n.
