Two images released by assault probe police

POLICE have released pictures of two people thay want to speak to following an assault at a Somerset craft fair.

A couple in their 30s were left with minor injuries in an ‘unprovoked’ attack, with one having to attend a minor injuries unit.

Now officers want to identify a man and a woman who were at the Frome Showground on Sunday, October 9. On the day the venue was hosting an outdoor flea market, craft fair and vintage car rally.

Avon and Somerset Police officers say they believe the two people have informatio­n which can aid their investigat­ion.

They said: “At around 1pm, a man and woman, both in their 30s, were assaulted in an unprovoked attack at the Frome Showground, in Frome.

“The male victim attended a minor injuries unit to get his injuries assessed.”

Pc Steven Ball said: “We would like to speak to these two people who we hope will help us to progress our investigat­ion.”
