Glastonbury ticket chance for locals

-

AN extra batch of Glastonbury Festival 2023 tickets will go on sale this weekend for locals.

Somerset residents will have the chance to grab passes to the music festival in a special “locals” ticket sale.

Tickets to June’s festival officially sold out earlier this month.

But a small allocation is held back every year for residents that live near to the festival site. They are to go on sale on Sunday.

Only “permanent full-time residents” registered with Glastonbury Festival from an address in the festival catchment area will be eligible to apply for tickets in the local sale. That catchment area is split into two zones “in order to make sure that those most likely to be affected by the festival have the best chance to secure tickets”, according to the Glastonbury Festival website.

Residents in the inner zone will be able to book tickets from 9am. Then, residents in the outer zone will be able to book tickets from 10am.

Applicants will be able to buy four tickets per transaction, with tickets costing £340.
